Forest garden in Bilthoven (The Netherlands)

An architectural home deserves an architectural garden. In an exclusive and green residential area the garden architect, Denkers in Tuinen, designed a beautiful villa garden. We constructed this garden in 2016 / 2017, the result is truly unique. Forest garden in a green residential areaThe residential area in which this forest garden is situated is quite characteristic. It is a combination of living in a wooded and green environment, on the edge of the urban area. The green atmosphere of the garden has been retained by the use of high Pinus trees.  Extension of the houseModern automatic entrance gates with a camera system and a suitable brickwork automatically close the garden. The driveway has ornamental gravel and is surrounded by cor-ten steel edges. An architectural and modern pavilion has been built near the entrance for storage of the waste containers, fire wood and a bicycle storage. The pavilion is completely custom made out of steel, in the same colour of the mansion. It has a wooden partition that continues as a fence with the neighbours. Entirely in coherence and fitted into the garden design.Forest garden with treehouse, jacuzzi and outdoor kitchenThe eyecatcher of this spectacular garden is without a doubt the treehouse, which even had Wi-Fi. With a real cable car the children slide out their playhouse. The garden also has a hockey field with storage, a jacuzzi and outdoor shower. There also is an outdoor kitchen in this forest garden. It has all the luxury you can imagine. The residents can take a seat on the various terraces in the garden. There is a terrace of natural stone tiles and a deck terrace. The residents have a place in the sun or in the shade at any time of the day. Take your pick!PlantsThe plants in this garden are extraordinary. Large rhododendron groups and laurels of Laurier give the garden a lot of privacy. Flowery, composite borders with beautiful flowers, autumn colours and flower bulbs in spring. The garden has become an idyllic place that gives the feeling of a forest.Garden lightingThe garden lighting is completely adjusted to the garden design and choice in plants. Various trees and the artwork are illuminated by light spots in the clouds. In addition, there are spotlights for a well-lit hockey pitch and an increased sense of security.The garden paths are illuminated with cor-ten steel fixtures, which match perfectly with the cor-ten steel edges of the driveway. Styling of the gardenThe styling of the garden fits like a glove. Thee garden architect has it all figured out, such as the garden furniture and the exclusive sun screen of Sunsquare.
